A20 seems to be a good option for our embedded project. However due to the known issues with graphics drivers what's the state of this with current debian image? I'm hopping that at least some part of the graphics subsystem is accelerated (2d and X)...

We already have images with acceleration but they are older kernel sunxi images. Also if you wish to use it as video player, there are KODI images again with acceleration. You should explore these older images at the FTP here:

In folders "2.legacy_images_kernel_3.4.x" and "4.LibreELEC_KODI_images".
