Last post by gs018 - October 21, 2024, 09:30:40 AM
Hi,

I am building my STMP157 board using the reference of "STMP15X-SOM". In this the RAM used is K4B4G1646D-BYK0, but I am unable to find the part number in online store. Can you please help me in finding the different RAM which can be used instead of it.

No, as long as it is 5V drive. Notice that very often 3.5in drives require 12V, so double and triple check if the specific disk requires 12V.

What image exactly are you using? Is the archive with the image named "A20-OLinuXino-bullseye-base-20231106-081613.img.7z"?

Well, the name suggests that the difference is one image is suitable for boards without eMMC and the other for boards with eMMC.

Notice that while these images will boot, there is a chance not all hardware features of your board would be supported out-of-the-box. The only image we maintain is Olimage. Refer to this document:

@LubOlimex Out of curiousity, does the size of the drive matter? Or can I use both 2.5 in, 3.5 in, etc. SATA drives?

I am getting these errors on my Olimex Lime 2 with the official Debian image. I just booted a fresh install, installed wireguard, and rebooted:

Hello everyone,

Installing Debian unto my Lime 2 and am a bit confused as to which image to utilize.

The Debian website has these two images:
```
firmware.A20-OLinuXino-Lime2-eMMC.img.gz   2024-08-27 22:35    359K
firmware.A20-OLinuXino-Lime2.img.gz   2024-08-27 22:35    357K
```

What is the difference between them both? Which can I utilize with my A20-OLINUXINO-Lime2-E16GS16M-ND?

Thank you so much for any help.

Hardware has no limitation about the size of the disk. Linux is the limiting factor but the maximum size is a looot (more than the size any single SSD can be).

There are two things to consider about the SATA drive:

- Max speed is 1.5Gbps SATA, no point of paying for faster disks
- It should be 5V SATA disk (not 12V)

Also if you wish to power the driver directly from the board or you don't have adapter consider this set:

We also resell some hard disks and SSDs here:

A20 / Maximum SATA Drive size for Ol...
Last post by myrcy - October 18, 2024, 05:04:08 AM
Hello everyone,
    I hope this finds you well.
I was purchasing a SATA Drive for my Olimex Lime 2 when I realized that I am uncertain if there a maximum drive I can plug into the machine.

I know my USB reader only supports up to 4TB Drives. Is there a maximum for the Olimex Lime 2? Or can I plug in any drive?

Thank you so much for your help.
