RS232 adapter on UEXT ports: how to activate ?

Hi guys,

I have just received a olimex RS232 adapter that connects to the UEXT1 or UEXT2 port.

I need to switch DTR and RTS ports from a software running under the ULTIMATE distro of Debian.

I measured the voltage at the ports of the rs232 plug and only one port displays a voltage of -5.7 V.

All the others are 0 V.

It seems that the rs232 adapter is not switched on by the hardware.

Is there a specific config file where I can instruct the system to activate the UEXT2 port on which the adapter is connected ?

OK never mind,  I just had a look at the schematics of the MOD-RS232, everything is clear !

there is no DTR and RTS output as it is not supposed to give some...
