selected device is not a touchscreen

it does kinda respond to touch, but won't calibrate

I'm using the 7" olimex touchscreen, I did compile my own kernel + modules - is it possible that alone might be the issue?

when I run calibrate it immediately returns registering the 4 samples with a ridiculously high value for the x coordinate

I'm obviously doing something dim, any inspiration  ?

I know what the issue is, but I'll make a separate thread about it later
it is actually not a touchscreen issue and to avoid confusion this thread might be better deleted...
