Debian Wifi

Hi, compiled the debian Kernel with the howto:http://olimex.wordpress.com/2012/10/12/building-bootable-sd-card-with-debian-linux-image-for-a13-olinuxino/ . The A13 boots up but i cant get the Wifi to work. Do i need a extra module? or firmware?

well i followed the instructions to build the kernel and the modules again and now the wifi can scan with iwlist.
honestly i dont knwo what went wrong before.
