Video jitters/panning observed on 1st iteration but plays fine on 2nd iteration

I am working on A20 Olinuxino Micro board with kernel version 3.4.90+ installed on it. I am using it to play MP4 H.264 video @ 20 MB/s, 29.97 FPS with Audio at 160 kbps.
The video shows jitters/panning issues at certain frames of the video and looks annoying. This happens only during first iteration of the video, but when I play the same video again it plays a lot better than the first time.
I could not understand, why this happens??
I am using MPLAYER with hardware acceleration to play the video. My mplayer settings are:
vo=vdpau,
vc=ffmpeg12vdpau,ffh264vdpau,ffwmv3vdpau,ffvc1vdpau,

If I play the same video on my PC it plays fine...
Can anyone help me out to understand and solve this issue.
