XDS100-V3 free CCS license - how to ?

Hi,

TMS320-XDS100-V3 web page (https://www.olimex.com/Products/DSP/Emulators/TMS320-XDS100-V3/) mentions that "XDS100 hardware grants free license for CCS5 and CCS6"
I've recently purchased this debugger but can't understand how to activate the free CCS license.

On CCS I try to select FREE license option (on License setup wizard), but after hitting 'Finish' it remains an Evaluation license...



Any advise would be appreciated as I'm approaching the end of my evaluation period...

I believe you are selecting the wrong license during installation.

There are two types of free licenses in CCS:

1) Evaluation License - this is what I believe you activated - it is time limited and expires

2) Free Limited License - this is what you have to activate with XDS100v3 - it is not time limited and does not expire
