And now... video problem always on eMega

Hi all, it's me again,

I begin to think I have a faulty card.
Because she never reacts as she should.

Exemple :

According to the manual, I should see the yellow LED is lit when vga monitor is connected, I have never seen this LED light except for the bootloader.

Then :

I want to connect my eMEGA on a composite monitor.

Without monitor vga connected on the card : No image on composite monitor. 

Connected with monitor vga connected on the card : Image on composite monitor but screen jumps and split. 

According to the manual, I should see anything on the composite monitor if a vga monitor is connected, and I should see an image on the composite monitor if no vga monitor is connected.

test composite monitor on another computer : ok
test composite monitor on camera : ok

A particular setting in the setup ?

And still the problem of keyboard and SD card, but for that, I think there is really nothing to do ...

Hello Lorenzog,

For yellow led, it's the same for me. It's blinking only when in bootloader mode.
Regarding the composite signal, I've got nothing on my TV.
I'm not suprised, when I look at the code on git for eMega, the part for composite is commented !!!
But, I've test this piece of code in a another program and it works fine in PAL (I'm French and for me SECAM is a little bit better  ) So, I use a VGA monitor.

When you boot with eMega, if a VGA screen is detected, VGA is used, otherwise you can use a TV Screen or terminal emulator. For sure, terminal emulator is working well, I've tested it (I tried teraterm)

C'est rassurant de voir que nous avons la même différence, avec la même carte...
Je pense les gars d'OLIMEX ne se sont pas trop cassé la tête a modifier le manuel consacré à la version MEGA
étant donné les grosses similitudes entre elles.

En ce qui concerne la sortie composite, c'est réglé, il y avait un problème de firmware.
Après avoir contacté le support technique j'ai reçu un message qui disait :

The problem is now fixed and updated firmware will be pushed on the GitHub. It affected the Composite Video output.

Ça tombait bien, j'allais leur renvoyer la carte...

Et puis, l'un des leurs me prenait pour un nigaud de première, genre faut pas acheter cette carte si tu programmes pas en C, alors que justement le truc intéressant sur cette série, c'est de pouvoir s'en passer...

Depuis que j'ai chargé le nouveau code, tout fonctionne comme il faut, et c'est cool.

Je pense que je vais faire comme toi en chargeant la dernière version.
As-tu essayer de faire de l'I2C en BASIC ?
Sur ma carte il y a un pb d'alimentation pour l'EEPROM en I2C (j'ai mesuré la tension sur la broche 8 de la 24LC256, à droite du repère et là 0 volt). C'est pareil pour la RAM ATMEL en SPI. Bref quelques surprises...
Si tu as plus de chance que moi et si tu arrives à communiquer avec l'EEPROM...

D'un autre coté, je penses que cela ne doit pas être compliqué de passé en couleur en suivant ce qui est fait pour les MaxiMite de G. Graham....
