About besselworth filter of EKG/EMG shield

Hi all,
I am working On EMG signal Using STM32F4 discovery board and olimex EMG/EKG shield. As I discovered that EMG shield has high pass filter and besselworth filter. As we know EMG frequency is around 5-500 Hz. I am fine with high pass filter. But my question is about bessel worth filter cut off frequency 40 Hz.

1. If cut of frequency is 40 hz that means it removing all the frequency above 40 Hz we have. Therefore we are getting EMG frequency between 0.16 Hz to 40 Hz. Isn't it?

2. If not then what is the frequency range we can get from Olimex EMG board?

3. If yes, Then what is the solution to get the EMG signal in between 5-500 Hz (Approx.)? Because if it is removing all the frequency above "40 Hz" then we are actually missing lots of data that doesn't make any sense.
