Buttons! Need to create external button board!

Extremely exited about my Olinuxino but need to add support for external button board for on-board buttons. Is there anyway utilizing the i/o on the board to do this? Any adapters or solutions anyone has found? Have seen a few posts regarding this any updates? Thanks
