AT91SAM / SAM ICE / OpenDBG

Does anybody know if the AT91SAM boards are compatible with the SAM-ICE JTAG debugger/ programmer? I want to start ARM programming at the reset vector. Any problems with this approach? Does anybody use SAM-ICE with OpenDBG? These are the tools and software I'm thinking of acquiring - I don't want to make a mistake!

I suppose you ask for the Olimex-assembled AT91 boards. Yes, they are compatible with SAM-ICE debugger.

Any problems with this approach?
I am not completely sure what "programming at the reset vector" really means. Can you shed some light on what exactly does this mean.

Does anybody use SAM-ICE with OpenDBG?
Atmel SAMICE is official supported in OpenOCD, you might check chapter 2.5 in the official documentation here: http://openocd.sourceforge.net/doc/pdf/openocd.pdf
