Olimexino 32u4: Solar Powered?

Hi,

i'm waiting for why Olimexino 32u4 cards, so my project is to build a solar powered system with this.

I have some questions :

Can I connect a 3w solar panel directly as a power supply ( with a battery as a backup power supply ) ?

What about the power consumption of the board on active board and on sleep mode ? ( with no equipments connected )
