Debian Desktop

Hi all
   As a newbee I am struggling to find an answer to two questions, I have seen the images of Gimp and other desktop stuff running and therefor assume that the Debian image will run the desktop.

I followed the 'How to build....' instructions and built the image, I also have purchased one from Olimex.

Does this image contain a desktop, if so how do I invoke it, if not how can I install one???

I have the wireless network up from the commandline. the board type is A13 WiFi,

SNAP! I am looking for graphics capabilities too. Like you I saw the screen pictures running Gimp so someone knows how to run GTK on this kernel for sure.

I don't need a full desktop but I am developing a Python application with touchscreen input so I need something.

I am just setting up a virtual PC in order to (try) compile my own system. Hopefully I will be able to create something with graphics support.
