Olinuxino iMX233 Micro Floppu disk emulator

Hi all,
I would like to try to make a Floppy disk emulator based on Olinuxino iMX233 Micro.
I know there are a lot of Chinese and Indian company there are making somethings like that using simple microcontroller but..............
.......I need a very universal format disk drive tu use it on old NC controller.
There is already a german maker (I don't know if I can use the name!!!!) but the price is very high...........250€ for a device!
Or there is HxC project where the schema are available but the firmware source aren't and I can't adapt to my requiments.
Now I have 3 questions:
1) Is iMX233 Micro the right candidate for this kind of project?
2) Is there someone interested in this project?
3) The most important question!!!! Is there somone can help me in this adventure?
