Hello ,

I recently bought a olimexino 328 and I have a small question about the DC Jack and the power supply.

In the manual, you say :

Quote4.3 Power supply circuit
OLIMEXINO-328 can take power supply from:
- external power supply (9-30) VDC. - +5V from USB
- 3.7V Li-ion battery

But, I also found this about the DC Jack connector :

Quote5.2 PWR_J connector
The power jack used is the typical 2.5mm one used by Olimex in most of our products. You should provide between 6 and 16 volts @ 1.5A maximum to the board.
Note that we also sell a couple of compatible 12V capable power supplies suitable for European customers. These might be found here: https://www.olimex.com/Products/Power/.

I'll use a 12v @ 2amp power supply (in truth 13,2v).

My question is : Can I use my power supply without any risk for my Olimexino-328 ?

Yes. The capacitors etc. are dimensioned for up to 16V, so you are fine.
The Jack has an inner pin with 2.0mm, not 2.5mm.
The documentation is sometimes flaky ... typical Geek-Company ;-)
