A33 OLinuXino Suspend

Hi

I'm interested in the A33 as a platform running Linux. Does anyone know if suspend and resume is implemented in the Olimex kernel?

I was looking previously at the A20 but suspend and resume doesn't work properly under Linux on the A20.

I think it's up to the Linux port whether it works and nothing to do with Olimex.  Try armbian?

You are right it is down to the Linux Port. My question was really does the Linux port that is provided with it support suspend and resume. I have looked at Armbian when I was considering the A20, however the mali graphics drivers weren't fully supported for the A20. I will take another look in view of the A33.

The suspend is handled by the u-boot and the kernel. You can find more information about the SMP/PSCI interface that handles the suspend in this article: http://linux-sunxi.org/PSCI

Like the newest images for the A20 boards, the official image for the A33 board uses mainline u-boot (as opposed to the older images that used sunxi u-boot). So the state of the suspend functionality should be the same. I tested it here and big parts of the suspend seem to work but I couldn't wake the board, so I would consider the the suspend function still "not working". I would guess that we haven't specified a wake up vector in the official image (a signal that is used to wake up the board). About the CSI camera – the official image for the A33 board doesn't have support for the CSI camera interface. We are currently trying to get our CSI camera GT2005 working with the connector. It is in our to-do list but our progress is slowed by the lack of an adapter board. Such a board is currently in the making. Note that we had successfully used CSI camera with the A20 chip, more specifically  in the A20-SOM-EVB design that includes CSI GT2005 camera by default: https://www.olimex.com/Products/SOM/A20/A20-SOM-EVB/
