Newbie Question

Hi all,

Since my MOD-IO is not detected (connected and used via a RPI)...

I want to know if :
1) Is the MOD-IO delivery with a firmware pre-installed ?
2) What about the power ? an external power is needed ?
Or the power via the BUS is enough (the power - RED led is ON)

I  don't see anything when I try >
i2cdetect -y 1 (or on bus 0)

Yes. Your board probably has this firmware: https://www.olimex.com/Products/Modules/IO/MOD-IO/resources/MOD-IO(I2C-Slave)_v1.02.zip

2) What about the power ? an external power is needed ?

Yes. 8 to 30 V DC external power supply is needed.
