SSh login in debian

Since i ran into toooooooooooooo, and the 'o's keep on coming, many road blocks when it came to using android gpio, and i2c, i thought i would give debian a try.

To my horror, i can't seem to login to the board, now booted with debian via sd card, (i configured it for static ip by changing /etc/network/interfaces).

Please help, i have tried logging in as root with password "passowrd", and also root with password "password" (note the position of o within password)

I don't know if this could help since I still have no OLinuXino board:
The default username/password combination for the default Linux image on the SD card (if purchased) is: root/olimex.

There was an error on the WIKI article of A10s. This is now fixed.
The manual is correct. The default username/password comibnation for the latest A10s Debian release is root/olimex.
