cedarx-libs encoding demo

Hi,

I have been trying to figure out if the hardware encoder of the A13 processor could be used in any possible way. I tried several demos from  linux-sunxi/cedarx-libs (old hw enc; enc_dec_demo)
The EncoderDemo from "old" folder compiled but it did not create meaningful output. Serial Dbg output got flushed with pixel and scaler errors.
I did not manage to compile the supposedly newer demo. Is it android only?
Did somebody manage to get any encoding demo to work?
