A20 HDMI sound output not working

Hi everyone!

I can't seem to get sound output over HDMI. I do have sound over the 3.5mm earphones though.
I have tried the uExt.txt in the boot sector, and with cat /proc/cmdline
I see that the parameter(s) were loaded.

hdmi.sound=EDID:0

shows up with several other parameters.

Any ideas on another approach?

I really appreciate this. I'm a total newbie, so please be gentle.

EDIT: I'm using the debian image.

Edit: I read it wrong, this is for analog audio
What is the current uEnv.txt and your /proc/cmdline?
