A13-wifi power loss file system corruption

From the user manual it stresses to not remove power while OS is running to prevent corruption. Doesn't Android use a read only file system for the OS and another writable partition for user data? I have not attempted to dig into the OS image makeup yet. I would like to be power loss safe with respect to the a13-wifi (using eMMC NAND flash). Also, doesn't android use ext3 transactional file system which should prevent corruption to a point? Has anyone on here come up with a solution to prevent this from happening? Even with battery backup and powering down the OS when power is detected as going away you still run into the failure mode where the battery is no longer viable. Any info is always greatly appreciated.

Thanks
