Hi everyone,

I've a doubt about something. Can I connect the ARM-JTAG connector to a computer through a RS232/USB adapter ?

Thank you for your answer.

JohnS

No.  It is for the (old) LPT port.

To know more, get its PDF and google the names :)

Yes sorry, I meant a LPT to USB adapter. Cause I've found this cable in my stuff :

If it truly works as an LPT then maybe, but I'm doubtful.

Those cables aren't likely to work unless they support EPP or the other standard that I can't remember.  Those cables are mainly for hooking up old printers to newer computers.  There are a HANDFUL of cables that I've seen that *WILL* do this, but they aren't the cheap USB<->Parallel.  The cheap ones really *ARE* just for printers.  I ran into this with an old JTAG setup that I have that's a parallel port JTAG.  I couldn't find anything to hook it up to my laptop without spending a lot more money.
