A13/A10 compatibility

Hello, I am wondering about A13 and A10 binary compatibility. I know they use the same core SOM, but A13 has no SATA/HDMI and G2D.

Should an A10 bootloader run OK on A13? I haven't been able to get that to work. How about an A10 kernel on A13?  I am finding lots of A10 images that I'd like to work on, but not many A13 images. It would be nice to save some time...

These are not similar. A13 and A10/A20 are quite different. A10 is quite similar to A20.

Thanks for your reply.  So it's clear that A10 uboot versions will not work on A13. And likely A10 kernels will not boot on A13? I have seen several kernel panics when trying this.

What about binary compatibility? Isn't the processor the same architecture and subversion (Cortex A8)? If I cross-compile software for A10 will it run on A13? Also the Mali GPU is listed at the same in the spec, and issues with video/rendering? Thanks
