Can you test if the behavior remains with the latest image 5.72.1//4.19.17: ftp://staging.olimex.com/Allwinner_Images/A20-OLinuXino/latest/bionic/images/ ?

A lot of bugs were fixed recently as indicated here: ftp://staging.olimex.com/Allwinner_Images/A20-OLinuXino/CHANGELOG.txt
