a13 som 512 dead on arrival?

Hi,
I've got A13-som-512, which doesn't seem to work.

After I connect 4 pins (rx,tx,gnd, 3.3v) from the max converter (100% working) I expect to see output on my TTY and I expect led activity on the A13 board, but nothing happens.

I also tried to provide external 3.3 power, which also didn't help.


Is there anything I'm missing or am I just unlucky and got dead board?

Unlikely to be dead - each board is tested empirically after manufacturing.

Try to power it from the mini USB connector.

What Linux image exactly are you using for your tests? Can you test with these Olimage images, they have support for A13-SOM-512:

It seems like there was not enough power.
